As well as our core one to one Timebank neighbourly support & skills swapping, we also work with our partners and member organisations on wider community projects.
We are developing a Timebank Community Card for our active full members. This is our way of thanking our members who are busy building new supportive friendships, offering practical help to others, learning new skills and helping to create community spirit in and around Whitehill & Bordon.
We also want to promote local businesses and encourage them to be part of the Timebank. We are looking for local businesses who can offer a discount or some other kind of benefit to members. In turn this will raise awareness of these businesses.

In 2020 some of our individual members started giving their time to a new “Computer Support for Everyone” class aiming to help local people become more computer literate. This project was working in partnership with organisational Timebank member Whitehill Village Hall who provided the venue. The classes became especially important during the pandemic when online communication was sometimes the only way to communicate with family members or get your shopping delivered.
The classes are user-led with attendees putting forward their individual enquiries which are then incorporated into the agenda for the session.

The Timebank has now bought some new laptops and mi-fi units and is in the process of setting a loan scheme up to help those who do not have the internet to access IT support.

In 2021, we have worked with our project partner Timebanking UK on this initiative which aims to tackle inequalities.
We have identified a total of 5 local people with disabilities, long term illnesses or mental health issues. These people have told us about their aims to improve their health, fitness or wellbeing and the Timebank has then identified Timebank member buddies to befriend them and keep them on track with their health aims. We hope these participants will enjoy Timebanking, make a new friend or two and even consider joining the Timebank at a later stage.
