Monday 12th May 2025 at The Beehive, Hogmoor Inclosure, Bordon GU35 9HN 2:30 - 4pm
Nowadays many of us keen gardeners try so hard to create pollinator-friendly gardens to help sustain bees that support biodiversity and improve crop health, but how much to we really know about the lives of these little creatures? Did you know that honeybees are the only insect which makes food that is harvested by humans? Come and hear some of the rich history of bee-keeping and how honeybees live in their habitats. We are privileged to welcome Brad, a qualified beekeeper, as assessed by the British Beekeeping Association, and currently Chair of Petersfield & District Beekeepers Association, who will share his insights into everything from bee colonies to swarming! If you’ve ever fancied starting your own hive, or just wanted to attract more bees to your garden, this talk is for you.
Please note Brad may bring some live bees (in an observation hive).
Why not tell a friend or neighbour and help us create a real buzz about this event!
